During these uncertain times, it is important that we all recognize the state of our own mental health and emotional wellbeing. The stress of living under the ever-changing circumstances of a global pandemic unfolding around us is a lot to handle. MADO Healthcare encourages all members of our community to be cognizant of your mental health. When it comes to managing your stress and anxiety, the first step is to recognize the behavioral, physical, emotional and cognitive responses common with stress and anxiety in yourself and/or your loved ones. It is important to limit your exposure to the news and social media. Find people and resources you can depend on for accurate information such as the WHO, CDC or your healthcare provider. Take time to take deep breaths, exercise, practice activities or hobbies that interest you and rest. It is also important to acknowledge and talk about what you are feeling and to check-in with those around you with a call, text or email. This time represents an important reminder that mental health and resiliency are critical to our overall health and happiness. Know that we are all in this together.
