For nearly 30 years, Ms. Linda Nash was part of the MADO Healthcare community. She was a fixture at our Douglass Park location- where everyone knew her, and she knew them. She started in 1994 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her tireless nature was a motivation for many colleagues at work. “Ms. Nash was a real source of support for me when I moved to DP.” Recalls MADO co-worker, Mardy Gibbs, “She would do anything asked of her and she always did it with a smile.” Her can-do nature quickly shuffled her through many positions as a pillar in Douglass Park’s Business Office. Shortly after starting with MADO, she became a CNA supervisor and later the main receptionist at DP. This role went beyond answering phones and greeting guests. Ms. Nash sorted through clothes for clients, knew the whereabouts of key staff, tracked the schedules of clients daily needs, helped arrange doctor visits in the community and made sure to personally know everyone that crossed her path. DP’s Executive Director, Tina Menier, said, “Ms. Nash ultimately became the face of Douglass Park when she took over the front desk. She touched countless lives, both clients and staff, with her smile, helpfulness, and no-nonsense approach to her work and relationships.”
Arnetta Perry reflects on working with Ms. Nash, saying, “She was such a loving woman, with a warm and welcoming heart from the day I first met her.” A commonality of sentiments about Ms. Nash flows through all of her colleagues. Not only her dedicated work ethic, but her desire for deep connections made Ms. Nash unforgettable. All who encountered her remark on how impressionable her presence was. Deidra Robinson remembers that, “she had that loving, caring and compassionate heart. We would talk about life in general and I loved our conversations.”
MADO Healthcare President, Peter O’Brien reflects, “Ms. Nash’s smile left an indelible mark on MADO Healthcare clients, staff and partners alike for the last few decades. She will be deeply missed by all of us at MADO and we offer our deepest sympathies to her family, friends and colleagues.”
