Director of Human Resources

MADO Healthcare – Corporate Position

As part of its strategic plan, MADO Healthcare Management has created a new position as Director of Human Resources. Designed to enhance staff performance and job satisfaction, the HR Director’s duties will include coordination of recruiting, performance appraisal, and employee relations and communication along with other critical activities. The search will proceed both internally and externally.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of three years experience in a business environment with health care experience preferred. Experience in a human resources function, such as payroll and benefits is highly desirable. Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.

Position Summary: Working with appropriate members of MADO’s Executive Team, the HR Director will provide guidance, expertise and assistance with basic human resources activities including recruiting, on-boarding orientation, compensation administration, performance appraisal, labor/employee relations, and payroll and benefits.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Assist executive management on recruiting and screening for new hires providing centralized resources and oversight
  • Develop and maintain company-wide on-boarding/orientation program
  • Develop and maintain “on-call” pool of employees who can serve as a resource for vacancies with the goal of limiting overtime
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive compensation program to assure internal equity and external competitiveness for the company
  • Manage and maintain accurate job descriptions for all company positions
  • Work with outside vendors on annual open enrollment and ongoing benefits administration
  • Work with appropriate staff to assure accurate and on-time delivery of payroll 
  • Implement a company-wide performance appraisal system and provide coaching and counseling for ongoing system continuity
  • Implement a company-wide grievance procedure
  • Implement programs for employee recognition including awards for length of service and outstanding performance
  • Assist with and provide expertise for administration of unemployment hearings, union grievances, workers’ compensation, FMLA and contract negotiations as needed and appropriate
  • Provide assistance with company-wide employee communication
  • Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of three years experience in a business environment, with health care experience strongly desired.
  • Experience with payroll and benefits administration highly desirable as well familiarity with other Human Resources functions as noted above
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to both work independently and collaborate as needed
  • Human Resources credentials such as advanced degree and certification desirable

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

MADO Healthcare – Buena Park

MADO Healthcare operates three specialized mental health rehabilitation facilities and one nursing care facility in the city of Chicago. MADO Healthcare- Buena Park is seeking caring and compassionate CNAs to work in a busy yet friendly environment. CNAs must be certified in the State of Illinois, have no criminal history, practice good judgment, and be willing to learn. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: prompting and assisting clients with ADLs, prompting for medication and group times, rounds and room checks, and ensuring the overall safety of the clients.

Current CNA Openings:

  • 1, Full-Time Day with supervisory duties (supervisory experience required) position
  • 1, Full-Time Evening position

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

MADO Healthcare operates three specialized mental health rehabilitation facilities and one nursing care facility in the city of Chicago.  MADO Healthcare Buena Park is seeking a caring and compassionate full-time LPN, a part-time flexible scheduling position and two part-time LPNs to cover 3:00pm-11:30pm shift. LPN license must be in good standing in the State of Illinois. LPNs with mental health recovery experience is preferred but not required.

Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

MADO Healthcare – Douglas Park

MADO Healthcare operates three specialized mental health rehabilitation facilities and one nursing care facility in the city of Chicago. MADO Healthcare – Douglas Park is seeking a caring, compassionate and flexible RN or LPN for rotating shifts. RN/LPN license must in good standing in the state of Illinois. Candidate with mental health recovery experience is strongly preferred but not required. Extensive training will be provided upon hire.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Medication administration
  • Accurate documentation
  • Carrying out physician’s orders
  • Tending to clients who are in need of assistance

Shift:

Overnight shift, 3 days a week and 4 days a week on alternating weeks. Full Time Position

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/ Rehabilitation Services Associate (RSA)

MADO Healthcare – Old Town

MADO Healthcare- Old Town operates as a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility in the city of Chicago. Old Town center is seeking CNAs as well as RSAs to facilitate recovery and re-entry into the community for those with mental illness. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: crisis de-escalation, assisting clients with ADLs, prompting for medication and group times, rounds, room checks, ensuring the overall safety of the clients and working collaboratively with the rest of the healthcare team. Experience working with persons with mental illness is preferred. Candidates with current CPI and CPR certification are encouraged to applyCurrently, there are 3 available positions for the 3:00pm-11:30pm shifts.

Our MADO Healthcare Uptown location is seeking caring and compassionate C.N.A.s to work in a busy yet friendly environment. C.N.A.s must be certified in the State of Illinois, have no criminal history, practice good judgment, and be willing to learn. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: prompting and assisting clients with ADLs, prompting for medication and group times, rounds and room checks, and ensuring the overall safety of the clients.

We are currently looking for:

  • 4 CNAs for the AM Shift (8:00am-4:30pm)
  • 2 CNAs for the PM Shift (4:00pm-12:00am)
